I recently appeared on the Andrew Richter Show to discuss a wide array of issues. Among them, we discussed the demonstrations in Wisconsin. This may not be popular with a lot of people, but we are a constitutional republic. That means that we use the democratic process to elect leaders to make our decisions for us. I love the first amendment, and the right to petition government is among our most essential rights. To mob the capitol building, however, in an attempt to shut the government down and coerce the politicians into changing their position is antithetical to the foundational values America was founded upon. Do not be fooled. We are not a democracy. Democracy quickly transitions to anarchy. Then you get some form of tyranny, when the leadership void can no longer remain unfilled. A lot of these "organic" revolutions are started by groups that are prepared to step into power when this void occurs. Be very watchful who you join sides with.
