The Watchful Eye Defends His Keep

You know, it gets harder and harder to post these things. The place where I spend most of my waking hours has blocked this site. It's nice to know that even if I want to speak my mind via this medium, on my own time, that my free speech is not valued there. Secondly, from home... Firefox does not like this site. Finally, I get through with Safari after a bit of prodding. I've had a lot on my mind, but it seems that it's all become old news by the time I can get access to this site. I'm not complaining... well, maybe a little.

Christmas is once again upon us, and so is the annual debunk Christianity season. This year's entry into the fray, The Golden Compass. This trilogy of books, written by Philip Pullman, is a series of stories directed at children in the tradition of The Chronicles of Narnia. One problem. Not only is Mr. Pullman a self-avowed athiest, he is is extremely outspoken in his hatred of all things Christian. In the final book of this series, the children kill God, so they can do what they want. In fact, in a 2003 interview he clearly states, "My books are about killing God." He also often states his desire to undermine the Christian religion. This movie will seem okay at first glance. The real hook, however, is that children will see the movie and ask their unsuspecting parents for the books. Unfortunately, many parents today are not discerning enough to do the research and tell their children no.

We see this all over in our society. People not doing the research. People too busy watching Grey's Anatomy and playing XBox to see what is going on around them. In this day and age, we have all the information we could want at our fingertips. Instead, we use the internet for looking up Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Fergie, etc., etc. (Don't believe me? Keep an eye on the most popular searches and videos on sites like Yahoo, Google, and YouTube over the next week.) Each of these things can be fine and good, IN MODERATION. Heck, I almost never miss an episode of Prison Break. The difference is that I don't watch it when it's on. I do what I need to do in my life and fit it in when everything else is done. Sometimes it's late Sunday night before I get to it.

I'm not saying that I'm better than anyone else. I'm just saying that I realized a long time ago, that if I want to accomplish anything, I had to work hard at it and use entertainment as a way to wind down late at night, once eveerything was done, if I had the time. Have you researched the SPP? Do you know that House Resolution 1955 makes room for a Congressional panel that will decide what groups or types of people will be considered home grown terrorists? Have you read the Law of The Sea Treaty? If it is ratified, we are giving the Unitied Nations control over every ocean around the world. Have you looked at their own legislation and websites (www.spp.gov, www.keeptexasmoving.com, www.kcsmartport.com, United Nations Agenda 21- http://www.un.org/esa/sustdev/documents/agenda21/index.htm)? I don't listen to wacky conspiracies. I do, however, do my research. These things above are straight out of the horses' mouth. Be vigilant. Defend your rights with your knowlwdge and your words. There are groups that want us not to pay attention. All evil work is done in darkness. If it is brought to the light it will not prosper. Get tough, but never stop loving individual people. In the end, if we expose all the works of darkness and we do not turn each other toward love, we have lost. Make a declaration here and now to stand for something. Do your research, tell your friends, start a blog. Do something!

Until next time!
